Blotting Brushes

Originally developed in the late 1960's the Blotting Brush is generally small and has textured bristles that are thinner than those used in conventional brushes. The bristles are designed to go under the gumline and between the teeth to draw out plaque and particles of food. This is done uusing a capillary action in the bristles.  Complete with a retaining cover to protect and reform the bristles, it is recommended that each brush is used for 2-3 weeks to maintain performance.  If the teeth and gums are in especially poor condition to start with, use the brush for between 1-2 weeks only.  If they are in an exceptionally poor state, use each Blotting Brush for a few days only before changing.

One of the most valuable aspects of Blotting Brushes is the capacity to stimulate the meridians between the teeth and the organs in the Interactive Tooth Chart - a benefit that the conventional method of brushing your teeth does not address. ‘Blotting’ also sucks the debris and bacteria from your teeth and surrounding pockets.

Using the Blotting Brushes properly can save you considerable amounts of money in the long term as the brush is inexpensive and you don’t need to buy toothpaste or associated electrical tooth cleaning devices. Massaging and stimulating the gums by this time-tested process plays a significant role in minimising dental problems and reducing gum disease.

Traditional Chinese Medicine stresses that the health of our beings is determined by the health of our meridians. Meridians are pathways of energy that flow through our bodies, our minds and our spirits.  When there are inefficiencies in these pathways, these pathways are blocked and the free flow of energy is disrupted allowing disease to manifest in one or more levels of our being.  Every one of these meridians goes through our gums.
